Through Coolant Carbide Endmills
December 1, 2013
Mikron Corp. Monroe offers a brochure on its CrazyMill Cool through coolant carbide endmills.
"With difficult materials such as stainless and acid resistant steels, titanium chrome-cobalt alloys and superalloys, milling tools are exposed to considerable wear," said a company spokesperson. "With high temperatures and reduced heat conductivity of the material, the heat usually transfers to the cutting edges - reducing tool life. External cooling is often not enough to sufficiently control tool temperatures. CrazyMill Cool is designed to keep heat away from the cutting edge, as well as flush away chips, for improved tool life and quality of finish."
The endmills are available in diameter ranges of 0.3 mm - 6 mm (.0118" - .236").
