Charging Platform for Mobile Robotics

With its CW Charger family, Wiferion is establishing a platform-based approach to industrial charging infrastructure.

With its CW Charger family, Wiferion is moving away from the concept of individual charging systems and establishing a platform-based approach for industrial charging infrastructure.

The CW Charger family addresses key requirements of modern robotic fleets: varying power requirements, growing fleet sizes, and the need to roll out charging infrastructure uniformly worldwide. With global network compatibility, clearly defined power classes, and consistent backward compatibility, it forms the technological basis for a future-proof charging infrastructure in production and intralogistics.

"The CW Charger family marks the transition from technology to infrastructure," explained Matthieu Ebert, Director of Product & Technology at Wiferion-a PULS business unit. "The systems are more robust, more powerful, and consistently designed for global deployment. This enables us to create a uniform charging infrastructure that functions reliably in all modern automation environments. For operators, this means less complexity in global roll-outs, lower integration costs, and a charging infrastructure that keeps pace with growing fleets-without the need to change systems."

The product family comprises the CW1500, CW3300, and CW6000 wall boxes, which are based on a common platform. All devices use a uniform hardware platform and differ significantly only in their power rating. This allows charging layouts to be designed modularly, standardized and expanded in the long term without changes to the basic architecture or peripherals. Operators can thus implement a consistent charging infrastructure across different fleet concepts and power requirements, while simultaneously reducing installation and maintenance costs.

A wide-range input of 110 to 240 volts allows operation on global mains standards. In the future, 3-phase connections typical of large-scale industry will also be supported. The CW Charger family is prepared for the VDA5050 M2X standard and is therefore ready for cross-manufacturer integration into modern fleet management and factory systems. Existing installations of the etaLINK and CW1000 products remain fully functional and can be migrated to the new platform without additional effort.
