Vention Advances Intelligent Manufacturing

During Vention's 6th annual Demo Day, CTO Francois Giguere unveiled some of the new capabilities to the company's AI-powered full-stack hardware and software platform to help make automation simpler, smarter, and more powerful.

Vention, creator of an AI-powered full-stack software and hardware automation platform, offers the next evolution of intelligent manufacturing driving its Zero-Shot Automation vision. At its 6th annual Demo Day, Vention unveiled its latest capabilities that allow companies to automate without the need for traditional hardware integration or complex programming. The innovations include tools that further expand the platform to a global community of developers and roboticists, as well as advanced simulation and AI features designed to help manufacturers move from design to deployed automation faster than ever before.

"Since its first Demo Day in 2020, Vention has transformed its fast machine-design platform into a software-defined automation environment that unifies hardware, software, and AI in one seamless experience," said a company spokesperson. "Today, more than 25,000 machines in 4,000 factories rely on the Vention platform for custom projects and turn-key manufacturing applications such as palletizing, welding, and machine tending, demonstrating proven performance, faster payback, and a dramatically shorter path from idea to production."

"Our mission has always been to make automation accessible to everyone," said Etienne Lacroix, founder and CEO of Vention. "With Zero-Shot Automation, we are building the stack of the future for industrial automation, where hardware and software are fully unified and AI runs seamlessly from the cloud to the edge. It is a major milestone toward simpler, smarter, and more powerful automation."

AI Operator is Vention's next-generation automation solution that brings advanced AI models directly to the factory floor for unstructured applications such as bin picking. AI Operator is now available on the Vention platform.

Powered by Vention's MachineMotion AI controller, AI Operator is built on NVIDIA AI infrastructure and NVIDIA Isaac libraries and AI models to deliver the compute power required for advanced industrial AI applications. By enabling perception, grasping, and collision-free motion directly at the edge, it accelerates manufacturers' path toward Zero-Shot Automation, making automation simpler, faster, and more intelligent, the company reported.

Vention also offers key advancements designed to make its platform more intuitive and available for manufacturers, developers, and roboticists alike:

  • Vention's new Developer Toolkit introduces a Command Line Interface (CLI), bundled project templates, and ready-to-use libraries for state machines, device communication, data storage, and operator HMIs. Developers and roboticists can now build locally or in the cloud using their preferred workflow, expanding how they create on the Vention platform.
  • Simulation Checker offers easier access to simulation tools before code is ever written. A new simulation environment delivers real-world accuracy before a single line of code is ever written. Gravity, collisions, and motion now behave exactly as they would on the factory floor, giving manufacturers confidence in their automation designs from day one.
  • To strengthen Vention's ability to help operators monitor and optimize machines, the company's RemoteView recording logs a full operational history, including status updates and alerts. By helping teams trace issues like operator errors or equipment collisions, RemoteView accelerates troubleshooting and prevents costly downtime.
  • Built on a large library of machine specifications, Vention Projects provides a structured, centralized workflow for defining automation scope and requirements. The tool reduces manual documentation and communication gaps, helping teams align early and move projects from concept to approval with greater accuracy.
