DESTACO offers the eRDH Series , its latest addition to the DESTACO Robohand product line.
"Designed with the future of automation in mind, the eRDH Series integrates state-of-the-art features, including four teachable sensors, speed control, force control, and selectable internal or external grip configurations, all tailored to meet the evolving needs across industries such as automotive, consumer goods, food and packaging, and industrial manufacturing," said a company spokesperson.
The eRDH gripper features an intuitive keypad interface, allowing for quick and easy configuration adjustments and sensor settings.
"Our goal was to eliminate the complexity and time-consuming set-up processes associated with other electric grippers," said Matt Girand, Vice President and General Manager, Americas and Global Automation. "With eRDH, operators can fully configure the device, including sensor parameters, in under a minute."
The built-in jaw locking technology means that the grip force is maintained even without power, enhancing safety and reliability. The keypad lockout feature prevents unauthorized tampering, while basic diagnostic feedback to PLC systems alerts operators to any fault conditions, mitigating downtime.
The eRDH Series operates on a 24VDC power supply with low power consumption. This feature makes it suited for mobile platforms and applications where energy efficiency is paramount.
The eRDH Series is suited for a wide array of applications, from assembly and packaging to handling sensitive electronics and delicate consumer goods.
