KUKA Highlights Cleanroom Efficiency and Versatility

KUKA Robotics recently showcased the KMR iisy mobile cobot for safe, flexible automation with System Partner BEC Robotics. The companies worked together to highlight advanced mobile robotic technology that provides precision handling along with seamless integration and unparalleled efficiency for cleanroom production environments.
KUKA and BEC Robotics presented a KUKA KMR iisy mobile cobot with BEC Robotics' BEC FABMOVER technology for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) as an innovative mobile automation solution for semiconductor manufacturing. The KMR iisy system moves quickly and safely through workspaces for flexible use at assembly workstations, in intralogistics, and as a robot service system. While the BEC FABMOVER is equipped with the KMR iisy, manufacturers gain load capacities of 11 or 15 kg, and a mobile platform that carries up to an additional 200 kg.
Along with ESD certification, the KMR iisy offers low-particle and low-emission properties for cleanroom use. Its smartPAD pro smart control operates both cobot and platform to eliminate the need for a second operating device.
The BEC FABMOVER is a mobile robotic system that serves as a comprehensive automation solution for improving operational efficiency, reducing downtime and supporting the rigorous demands of modern semiconductor manufacturing with reliable robotics. It uses advanced gripper technology to securely grip and handle delicate items, optimizing workflow and increasing overall productivity and efficiency in cleanroom environments.
