CO2 Laser Lenses for Cutting Heavy Steel I-Beams

A line of ZnSe laser optics for heavy steel cutting lasers up to 4 kW that come in various focal lengths to optimize laser performance has been introduced by Laser Research Optics.

Laser Research CO2 Focusing Lenses come in plano-convex and meniscus configurations in 1" to 2" O.D. sizes with thicknesses ranging from 0.250" to 0.380" and can be supplied plain or mounted. Featuring focal lengths from 5" to 10" in 0.5" increments, they are suited for 10.6 micron 200W to 4 kW lasers used for cutting I-beams and other heavy steel parts.

Available from stock for OEMs as well as for field replacement by end users, Laser Research CO2 Focusing Lenses are available with A/R coatings providing <0.2% total absorption and with a proprietary Cool-Cut coating that absorbs <0.15% of laser energy to protect against heat damage.
