Weiler Abrasives will feature surface conditioning solutions to help customers improve productivity and uptime, overcome labor challenges and address safety issues. Visitors can learn more about solutions for a variety of industries, including shipbuilding, metal fabrication, multipass welding and foundry applications.
Among the new solutions to be highlighted at the show will be the next generation of coated abrasives featuring a precision-shaped ceramic grain.
"We are excited to introduce our new line of flap discs, fiber discs and blending discs," said Tony Hufford, Sector Manager, Metal Fabrication, Weiler Abrasives. "We are focused on helping end users get the most out of the abrasives they use every day. We want to make the work easier for operators and find cost and time savings for facilities. These products will help us do that."
Weiler's new Tiger Mill Scale wheels will be showcased in the booth. These wheels are engineered to tackle the common challenge of removing heavy mill scale in metal fabrication shops. The wheels feature a circular studded design that aggressively cuts through the hard surface and prevents loading or glazing to help ensure efficient material removal. The wheel's type 29 curved shape increases the contact area, maximizes material removal rates, improves operator comfort and deters gouging.
The new Tiger Strip Discs will also be featured in the booth. They offer enhanced cleaning power and product life for steel and stainless steel. Tiger Ceramic provides an aggressive cleaning solution to maximize productivity, while Tiger SiC delivers a high initial cut and penetration for cleaning hard surfaces. The flexible nonwoven nylon fiber and resin formula create a wider footprint, increasing productivity without compromising disc life.
Booth visitors can also learn more about the expansion of the color-coded power wire product portfolio designed to help operations better identify stainless steel brushes to eliminate cross contamination. A virtual reality station will give visitors the opportunity to put their cutting and grinding skills to the test while learning about safe and effective use.
Weiler Abrasives specialists will be scheduling consultations at the booth to help visitors understand their abrasive spend, along with ways to increase productivity and eliminate grinding and finishing bottlenecks. These essential consultations will include a thorough discussion of the steps needed to overcome surface conditioning challenges, whether related to labor, safety or increased customer demand. Specialists can also offer recommendations for better ways to grind and finish stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum and other hard-to-work-with materials and how to choose the right abrasive for specific applications.
