Reader Precision Solutions, a contract manufacturer of precision machined parts and components, has announced a major expansion to its production fleet, investing more than $3.25 million in state-of-the-art precision machinery, technology and finishing equipment.
"This significant capital reinvestment supports the company's position as a leader in high-volume, tight-tolerance machining for complex parts across various industries, including military and weapons systems, defense and tactical solutions, flow control systems, dental and medical solutions and other specialty markets," said a company spokesperson. "These investments strengthen Reader Precision's ability to deliver speed, precision and versatility across a wide range of part specifications and production requirements."
Investments include:
- Six Tsugami S206 Swiss CNC machines
- Four Tsugami BW209Z Swiss CNC machines
- Two Brother SPEEDIO R450Xd1 vertical mills
- One Brother SPEEDIO S700Xd1 vertical mills
- One JCOM roll parts cleaning system
- One MFI centrifugal disc tumbling finishing system.
"Our latest equipment additions are another critical step in fortifying our fleet and scaling alongside our clients' increasing demands in quantity and complexity," said Michael P. Reader, President of Reader Precision. "But more than just acquiring new equipment, we are strategically standardizing on highly capable, efficient platforms that give us the flexibility to meet evolving needs and set ourselves-and our clients-up for long-term success. It is about investing in the right infrastructure and talent that drives performance across the board."
Backed by its skilled engineering and production team, the company's growing capabilities now deliver even tighter tolerances, faster cycle times and increased throughput to meet strict customer specifications without compromising lead times.
"These additions significantly elevate our precision machining playbook," said Steve Dues, Vice President of Engineering at Reader Precision. "The new equipment gives us the flexibility to support complex parts with tighter tolerances, advanced materials and evolving client specs and program demands, all while streamlining setups and optimizing throughput. This level of capability enables our teams to collaborate earlier, move faster and deliver the precision and value our clients can expect at every stage."
These investments are part of a broader, phased expansion of technology and equipment as Reader Precision transitions into its newly acquired and renovated 130,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing headquarters in Elkhorn, WI. The consolidation of operations under one roof has aided in streamlined processes, elevation of client services and delivery standards and fostered a more unified and collaborative culture across all teams and departments.
