Kirk Stewart
Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH (SW) has announced Kirk Stewart as North America General Manager for Sales, Marketing and Life Services. Stewart was previously with EMAG Machine Tools and brings nearly 30 years of management experience in the machine tool industry to the team.
Stewart will focus on the continued growth of SW in North America by building a greater awareness of the durability and flexibility of the company's CNC machines, automation and system solutions. He and the team will also continue to increase business outside the automotive industries for opportunities to manufacture high volume components for medical devices, firearms and many others.
"Kirk brings a wealth of knowledge in the machine tool industry to the team and we are confident that his passion for the products and business will allow him to position SW as the leading tool provider in North America across a wide array of manufacturing industries," said Debora Herman, SW General Manager for Finance and Administrative Services.
Stewart started his career in the machine tool industry with Ingersoll CM Systems after graduating from Kettering University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He also earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan-Flint. Prior to joining SW, Stewart held several positions with EMAG Machine Tools in the U.S. and Germany and was most recently the vice president of sales.
Stewart will work alongside Herman and Mark Reichenbacher, General Manager for Engineering and Operations.
