Rex-Cut Abrasives has expanded its Sigma Grinding Wheel line with the Sigma Z, a high-performance grinding wheel for stainless steel, carbon steel, mild steel, titanium and alloys.
Sigma Z is manufactured with the proprietary Sigma bond and 100% premium grain that enables it to grind faster and last longer than its original Sigma counterparts. Sigma Z has 2x the stock removal rate on stainless steel compared to Sigma Max and outlasts Sigma Max by 30%.
Engineered to be aggressive on metal and easy on the operator, Sigma Z is precision balanced for a chatter-free and quiet operation. "This composition allows for Sigma Z to out preform most ceramic and engineered grains while leaving an RA finish of 190 on stainless steel," said a company spokesperson.
Sigma Z is available in 4.5", 5" and 7" diameters.
