These lathes feature heavy cross ribbed bed construction with extra wide bed ways. "The precise and accurate spindles are fitted with SKF bearings. Heavy duty clutched headstocks with hardened and ground gears make heavy cutting effortless. In addition, LION offers an array of versatile and high-end features such as simple joystick feed operation, standard 4-way rapid traverse and 2-speed tailstocks on most sizes," said the spokesperson.
"When it comes to threading, these lathes are extremely capable," continued the spokesperson. They have inch and metric threading ability without change of gear. And most models offer a wide range of threading, typically with 60 threads to choose from and a range of 60 - 1/4 TPI.
Many models feature large 4" and 6" spindle bores. Sizes range from 16" x 40" all the way up to 40" x 240", most of which are in stock for immediate delivery.
