New Hot Isostatic Press for Lake City Heat Treating

A new Hot Isostatic Press (HIP) is now available at Lake City Heat Treating Corp (LCHT). This new system comes from Quintus Technologies in Vasteras, Sweden, and is a newly designed modular system that represents the third such press for Lake City. "These presses are recognized as the best HIP systems for advanced materials in the demanding aerospace and orthopedic industries," said a company spokesperson.
The press features a work zone of 23.62" diameter and 70.87" in height; an operating temperature of 2,552° with a pressure of 30,000 PSI. It is also equipped with patented Uniform Rapid Cooling technology, reducing processing time.
LCHT provides heat treating services for the aerospace, medical and other industries. LCHT specializes in bright aging, hardening, annealing and stress relieving of many different alloys, including nickel, cobalt and titanium.
