Four-Way Heavy Duty Multitasking Turning Centers

TUR90-4SMN/CNC 37" x 393" BC, 4-way, 2 linear ways step bed with 4 rear hydraulic steady rests

TUR3MN/CNC, 51" x 189" BC, traditional 4-way/3-shear bed

TUR4MN/CNC, 63" x 252" BC, step-bed 4-way/3-shear bed, HD step bed

"Toolmex TUR European built lathes offers its widest range of 4-way heavy-duty turning centers for the U.S. market," said a company spokesperson. The expanded line allows users to have a custom built turning solution, specifically for their application, industry and budget.

Wider range capacities are offered: 24"-63" over cross slide, 78"-819" BC (between centers), 2-4 axis Siemens or FANUC controls, 5.5"-17.7" spindle bores and 8,800-66,000 lbs. part weight BC without steady rests. "The TUR 4-way, 3-shear turning centers bring European precision and quality at an affordable price for the steel, cylinder/hydraulic, aerospace, energy, steel, printing, oil and gas industries," said the spokesperson.

These TUR 4-way series combine the rigidity of a solid bed flat bed and the flexibility of a slant bed when turning the full length BC with steady rest support. Additional TUR3-4MN features: 2-4 axes (X, Z, C and Y), Siemens or FANUC CNC, rack and double pinion Z-axis drive, linear feedback scale in X- and Z-axis (195" BC and longer), Meehanite grade key castings, auto-shifting headstock ranges, rigid mono-block one piece bed, optional higher torque headstock options, many German components and a wide range of optional technologies to increase productivity.

The series includes:

  • TUR4SMN/CNC 4-way, 2 liner ways bed, 37" or 43" swing, step bed:

25" or 31" over cross slide x 78"-630" BC, 5.5"-17.7" spindle bore, load capacities BC 8,800 or 15,400 lbs., 40 HP

  • TUR3MN/CNC traditional 4-way/3 shear bed, 51" or 63" swing:

39" or 51" over cross slide x 189"-630" BC, 5.5"-17.7" spindle bore, load capacities BC 19,800 or 33,000 lbs., 75 or 130 HP

  • TUR4MN/CNC step-bed 4-way/3 shear bed, 27.5"-79" swing HD step bed:

27.5"-63" over cross slide x 189"-630" BC, 5.5"-25" spindle bore, load capacities BC 19,800 or 66,000 lbs., 75-150 HP.
