AGS Additive Manufacturing (formerly Advanced Graphics Systems) recently hosted the SME DFW Chapter meeting at its facility in Fort Worth, TX. Representatives from local manufacturing businesses and SME DFW Chapter attended, shared information and had a tour of the 40,000-sq. ft. plant.
"It was a great meeting and I really liked the energy and the feedback," said Adam Cook, SME DFW Chapter Chair. "We appreciate AGS stepping up to help us lead the charge in revitalizing the DFW Chapter and further our mission."
The association has been supporting the manufacturing industry for over 85 years. Working closely with manufacturing professionals, companies, educators, schools and communities, they share knowledge and resources that generate solutions to manufacturing industry challenges.
"SME DFW Chapter is a natural fit for us," said Mike Goold, President of AGS Additive Manufacturing. "We have a vast history and expertise that we can share with other small-to-medium sized manufacturers and students."
AGS Announces Rebrand
AGS' revamped brand, in addition to its new name, includes a new logo that better reflects its mission to the additive manufacturing (AM) space.
"AGS is a pioneer in 3-D printing in metal and CNC machining," said Kevin Goold, AGS 3D Printing Manager. "Even with our rich history, we felt we needed a fresh face for today's product engineers who are highly attuned to AM."
"With the very latest 3-D printing tech and 70 pieces of machining equipment, we have capabilities that many suppliers cannot match," said Benny Araujo, Vice President of Marketing. "That unique combination is the `plus' in our new logo."
