Logopress3 is designed to improve SolidWorks by adding: finite element analysis (FEA) flattening, unbending (also works with "dirty" bent parts), strip layout, round draw module, blank nesting optimization, automatic quoting data, tool design, standard catalog components, 2-D drawings, tool and die BOM, tool and die hole tables, tool and die auto dimensioning, die simulation (die kinematics) and dynamic interference detection. These tools were created for the die designer and estimator but have been useful for the creation of jigs, fixtures, gauges and special machines.
Logopress3F flattening software is designed to quickly and easily determine the theoretical blank of a complex 3-D stamped metal part, generating native SolidWorks geometry composed of lines and arcs (no splines). It serves the needs of designers and estimators in the tool & die industry but is also useful for finding the flat shape of textiles, gaskets, decals and other materials.
