Wire EDM for Small to Medium Size Parts

Seibu M35B precision wire EDM

Seibu's wire feeder is so reliable it can consistently thread a 9" interrupted, submersed part at the wire break point.

Seibu's M35B precision wire EDM has axis travels of 13.8" x 9.8" x 9.0" and is built for the machining of small to medium size parts. The machine is designed to deliver high material removal rates while holding a pitch accuracy ± 3 µm. Its Meehanite rigid castings are hand scraped resulting in vibration-free axis movement. The M35B features the user-friendly FANUC 31iWB series control that contains over 4,000 cutting conditions. The graphical user interface for Windows is designed to make it easy for operators to learn the control.

The M35B comes standard with Seibu's dry annealing wire feeder. An annealing current is passed through the wire while its being pulled resulting in straight and stiff wire. "Because of the dry annealing process, no additional help like a water jet is needed to help thread the wire. The wire feeder is so reliable it can consistently thread a 9 inch interrupted, submersed part at the wire break point," said a company spokesperson.

Seibu wire EDMs are manufactured at its ISO certified factory located in Fukuoka, Japan. The machines are imported into the U.S. by KGK International Corp.
