Wire EDM Machines Built for Performance and Accuracy

ONA has introduced the AV wire EDM machines that are designed for high performance and accuracy.
Main features of the new AV machines:
- The CNC can control up to eight axes simultaneously, is CAD/CAM incorporated and features a 21.5" touchscreen.
- Generator provides surface finishes to 0.1 µm Ra
- Automatic threader handles fine wires of up to .0003" in diameter
- Improved precision and safety levels. The machine incorporates corner and profile control systems, linear glass scales of 0.1 µm and a crash protection system able to detect impacts of just 0.8 kg (8 N).
- ECOCUT technology cuts power consumption by up to 30% during the EDM process and reduces wire consumption
- New machine layout can reduce the footprint by 20%
- LINUX based CNC with open architecture allows integration with robotics, third party CAD/CAM job and management software.
Currently, there are two different models of ONA AV machines: the ONA AV25 model with XYZ travels of 400 x 300 x 250 mm and the ONA AV35 model with XYZ travels of 600 x 400 x 400 mm. Both models have U/V travels of 120 x 120 mm.
