DUNHAM Tool now makes it easier and faster to increase collet chucking productivity with its ready-to-install collet chuck kits for lathes and rotary tables.
The ready to mount lathe kits include the DUNHAM Collet Chuck along with the DUNHAM Air Collet Closer (DACC), while kits for rotary tables include the DUNHAM Air Collet Chuck and all necessary hardware. Kit options are available for many tool room type lathes like Haas TL-1/TL-2, Trak/Southwestern and Fryer, to name a few. Complete packages are also available for use on rotary tables made by Haas, Koma, FANUC and more.
"Our ability to offer these all-in-one kits comes from our years of industry experience in matching our customers' needs to their respective equipment. Having built up a pretty extensive database over the years has allowed us to simplify the ordering process by creating these kits that are designed to get the customer up and running that much faster and with only minimal info from them," noted a company spokesperson.
DUNHAM works directly with numerous machine builders and integrators to outfit their lathes and rotary tables with collet chucking/closer kits upon customer request. In addition, DUNHAM works with many industrial distributors and direct end users who are looking to outfit their current machinery for collet chucking.
"When a customer calls, we will ask them for basic make and model info to determine the proper kit for their machine," said the spokesperson. "If we do not have something already in place for their specific unit, with a little design info from them, we can have a custom kit designed and ready to ship in a short amount of time."
Lathe kits come with a DUNHAM Collet Closer, DUNHAM Collet Chuck (tapered or threaded nose option), custom draw tube, air control kit (hand or foot valve) and a direct fit spindle mounting adapter to fit the customer's specific make and model.
