Precision Drive Systems Announces Product Manager

Precision Drive Systems (PDS), a provider of precision motor spindles, expert support and repair, has announced Doug Lawrence as Product Manager & Subject Matter Expert (SME) for its metalworking spindle repair business.

"We are pleased to welcome Doug Lawrence to PDS as our new Product Manager," said Allen Turk, Founder, and CEO of PDS. "We look forward to sharing his spindle expertise in engineering, sales and management in this cross-functional new role at PDS."

Reporting directly to Allen Turk as Product Manager and a veteran spindle technology subject matter expert, Lawrence will train the operations staff in troubleshooting and repairing metalworking spindles and perform on-site analyses of the spindles of customers and prospects for hidden issues. He will oversee metalworking spindle repairs and machining applications engineering in North America.

After beginning his career as an associate engineer on the product development team for Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a division of Johnson & Johnson, Lawrence spent 20 years with SETCO Service Company in engineering manager, service engineer and vibration manager roles. He recently worked as a technical account manager for Jaeger Spindles North America, where he managed inside and outside sales for North and South America.

Lawrence earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering (BSME) from the University of Cincinnati.
