Helios Gear Products will host the 2022 Gear School in person May 17-19, 2022. The three-day seminar, formally titled Fundamentals of Parallel Axis Gear Manufacturing, offers gear manufacturing personnel of all levels a cost-effective review of the basics of gear production.
"Anyone new to the industry or needing a refresher, including manufacturing management, engineers, supervisors, set-up technicians, operators and quality control, will benefit from the course's thorough overview of parallel axis gear manufacturing topics," said a company spokesperson.
Helios, an active member of the American Gear Manufacturers Association, has hosted the Gear School for over 30 years, training more than 1,500 industry professionals. The seminar offers a classroom-type environment and also includes multiple facility tours, transportation, meals and networking opportunities.
"While we are proud of supporting the industry with technical knowledge, we also love to see so many new relationships formed across the continent," said Adam Gimpert, President of Helios. "Gear School is a unique opportunity to not only learn from instructors but also discover new colleagues that face the same challenges you do."
A team of engineers from Helios Gear Products and Kapp Technologies will teach the 2022 school. Topics of the school include gear nomenclature ("how to speak gearing"), hobbing, shaping, power skiving, generating grinding, form grinding, inspection (AGMA and DIN standards), cutting tools, fixturing, blanks, production estimating, troubleshooting and more. The school offers an overview of gear manufacturing technology, methods, challenges and trends. Visit heliosgearproducts.com/education/ to learn more.
