Servo Unloader Technology for Increased Production

The Rebel 80 Servo Unloader is a compact unloading system for parts in the diameter range of 8 mm - 80 mm to be extracted from CNC lathes after the cutting process. Parts are gently extracted from the sub-spindle of single-spindle lathes and deposited on an incline table built right into the unit. With a large magazine capacity allowing for long unattended operation, the Rebel combines the advantages of auto part unloading with a small footprint.

The Rebel 80 Servo Unloader offers several options for the unloading of parts of different material types: magnetic tips for steel parts, O.D. collets and I.D. gripper collets for aluminum and brass and special engineered solutions for profiled stock and odd shaped stock. With steel parts, a Magnetic Extractor retrieves the part from the sub-spindle. The de-energized Extractor then retracts leaving the part resting in the front V-Tray which slowly rotates down depositing the part softly onto the parts tray. The part tray's incline is adjustable enabling the unloader to easy unload large diameter parts. Magazine storage capacity is 720 mm (28"). On most applications, the Rebel 80 Servo Unloader runs on electricity with no shop air required. Air is offered as an option as some bar end effectors may require it depending on specific applications.

"User friendly software delivers fast set-up on easier jobs and powerful advanced features for more sophisticated demands. Servo controlled positioning for unloading of parts offers accuracy and efficiency," said a company spokesperson. The operator enters the Pickup and Drop-off value and the unit automatically adjusts the necessary parameters for an accurate unload sequence. Using the remote control pendant, the operator can choose either forward or reverse extractor travel while the Rebel Unloader is in manual mode.

The conversational control features state-of-the-art touchscreen with menu driven programming and stores unlimited part programs. Programmable bar diameter and part length allow the operator to simply enter the part diameter, part length and pickup position; the Rebel will automatically adjust for part unloading. It utilizes a toothed belt drive for pusher motion, making it maintenance free with no adjustments required.

The Rebel 80 Servo Unloader features an axial shift device that allows for spindle liner changes as well as maintenance access to the back of the lathe spindle. The Axial Track is standard in both X or Z axis. When not in use, the axial track folds up to eliminate tripping hazards when loading magazine. The machine's base also includes storage for three spindle liners under magazine.
