The APEX Series Mobile Workstation is the latest product from Newcastle Systems, a provider of mobile-powered workplace solutions designed to make manufacturing facilities work smoothly and efficiently. The new height-adjustable mobile workstation offers flexibility and increased efficiency for employees working in a variety of different industries including aerospace, automotive, electronics and medical device manufacturing. Typical applications include visual work instruction, asset tracking, quality assurance, on-demand label printing/ scanning and more.

A mobile powered station means that employees can achieve the same amount of work with fewer pieces of equipment. With this product, manufacturing floor associates can go from standing to sitting with the touch of a button, which enables them to complete their tasks more quickly and safely. In addition, by having full-screen access to ERP, MES, PLM and other information systems while on the move, organizations are able to fully implement or enhance their ability to go paperless. The workstation's integrated power system allows associates to take complete advantage of their wireless facility. The station can now seamlessly flow from task to task without cords or costly cable drops. This feature adds a greater level of productivity to facilities and allows the workstations to move freely to where the work is taking place.

"We aim to provide innovative solutions that will allow our manufacturing partners to complete their tasks more efficiently," said Newcastle CEO John O'Kelly. "The APEX Series Mobile Workstation provides a cost-effective solution for any facility looking to ensure ergonomics and safety for its workers, while also improving processes to further its competitive edge."

The versatile workstation has an ergonomic height range of 30" - 48" from floor to top shelf to accommodate all employees. Its compact footprint, 19" in width, allows associates to navigate narrow aisles and tight spaces. "The workstation is hardware-friendly, and with the PowerSwap Nucleus Lithium Power System, the APEX Series Ergonomic Workstation fits even the most demanding of power needs," said the spokesperson.
