Autofeed Bandsaw with Pneumatic Clamping

Tormach Inc. offers its AF50 autofeed bandsaw. This saw is programmable and fully automatic, providing a suitable option for users of manual or semi-automatic bandsaws. The AF50 is Tormach's first bandsaw offering. It complements the company's line of CNC milling machines and lathes.
"These saws are designed to bring automation, better efficiency and maximum convenience into the machining or fabrication shop," said Lori Morrison Bufalo, Marketing Director at Tormach. "They provide power and ease-of-use, allow operator-free cutting of stock."
By combining a pneumatic clamping system and hydraulic feed control, the AF50 provides consistent and repeatable cuts. It operates on 115 Vac, single-phase power and cuts lengths from 0.157" - 50" (4 mm - 1,270 mm). The pneumatic clamping system features an adjustable soft-squeeze, which holds material from thin-walled tubing to 7" round steel bars.
The AF50 provides affordable, automatic cutting. A premium package includes a heavy-duty flexible roller table, replacement blade brush and coolant. "The return on investment on these new saws is fast, since they require so little operator intervention," said Lori Morrison Bufalo. "Shops that have been buying their stock pre-cut will especially notice the fast payback."
