Plastic Design, Inc. of North Chelmsford, MA, has acquired Keller Products, Acton, MA, a manufacturer of patented coolant filtration systems and related products and services.
"The acquisition of Keller Products enhances our ability to grow and support our existing industrial customers, and provides us an entrance into the metalworking market," said Daryl Flynn, Co-President of Plastic Design. "Metalworking is a major component of the industrial base here in New England, it includes defense, aerospace, medical and the firearms industries. We have worked with Keller over the past 25 years, and we believe both companies, and more importantly our customers, will benefit from this merger."
Established in 1990, Keller originated a patented method for removing way oils and other oils from coolant, and continues to maintain leadership in this field. Jon Strauss, Vice-President of Keller Products, said, "We are very pleased to have found a partnership that will provide a foundation that will allow us to aggressively pursue several large growth opportunities. Having access to Plastic Design's prototype and manufacturing capabilities has already produced dividends. Keller recently secured the largest single order in our company's 26 year history."
Founded in 1976, Plastic Design, Inc. has experienced continuous growth, supplying customers with high quality engineered plastic fabrications. The 30,000 sq. ft. facility employs over 30 people, and includes CNC machining centers, a large laser fabrication area and is ISO 9001:2015 certified. The range in jobs can vary from simple tanks to complex fully automated systems. All production runs are supported by expert computer aided design capabilities.
Kurt Flynn, Co-President, said, "Plastic Design has always partnered with our customers to provide quality engineered equipment to solve their unique manufacturing challenges. This expansion of our manufacturing operation allows us to continue to provide superior equipment and service. Now we can bring these capabilities to a larger segment of the industrial market."
