Drill/Tap Center with Side Load Milling Capability

Dalian Machine Tool Group NA (DMTG NA) offers a fast drill/tap center.

The machine is used in the 3C (computer, communication and consumer electric) industry as well as military, aerospace, medical and small mold machining. The ability to do side load milling allows for increased versatility.

The machine is constructed from hardened ductile cast iron on the base, column, spindle housing cross slide and work table to ensure reliability. All casting structures go through rigid testing using machine tool Dynamic Analysis and Finite Element Analysis. The design, with reinforced ribs, provides a high level of rigidity of all major components. The wide and solid base along with a box cavity column, widened and lengthened saddle provides a solid and rigid platform to ensure support during heavy cutting loads.

The large table size of 25.6" X 15.7" and X, Y, Z travels of 19.6" x 15.7" x 11.8" allow for table load capacity of 661 lbs. With acceleration of .6 G and rapid traverse of 1,890 IPM, the machine allows for more time in the cut and less non-cut times.

The 7.4 HP (5.5 kW) direct drive spindle motor utilizes high precision angular ball bearings to achieve speeds of 24,000 RPM. The use of IRD dynamic balance correction equipment to correct spindle dynamic balance to minimize resonance phenomenon during high spindle speeds allows for high machining accuracy.
