Protecting Robots in Harsh Environments
January 1, 2017
"Robots are rather resilient to the effects of contaminants such as dust and debris," said a Guyson spokesperson. "However, in harsh environments additional measures must be taken. Whether the robot is mounted internally or outside the blast cabinet, a Guyson protective robot suit can lesson these detrimental effects, ensuring more equipment uptime and lower long term maintenance costs."
Guyson robot suits are made of Hypalon, a chlorosulfonated polyethylene synthetic rubber that has a reinforced flexible geomembrane, giving it enhanced resistance to abrasion, extreme temperatures, certain chemicals and oxidation.
"Our suits are engineered for added resilience and fewer restrictions while providing longer life," said the spokesperson. "We work closely with our customers to design and manufacture custom robot suits specific to their application needs."
