Master Course on Industrial Automation Management
March 1, 2016
In the spring of 2016, at the Comau Academy premises in selected Comau Academy locations within Italy, Great Britain, France and Germany, the first Industrial Automation Management Master program will begin. The program has been designed for businesses that wish to innovate their production systems and all those who want to improve their technical and management knowledge within the context of industrial automation.
The course is organized by Comau with the support of ESCP Europe Business School and in collaboration with international universities, including the Politecnico di Torino, Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai and Technische Universität München.
The training program will be taught completely in English through classroom teaching and e-learning methods. The lessons will be held by Comau managers and by ESCP Europe educators, with the participation of visiting professors belonging to the network of universities associated with the Comau Academy. All theory modules will be followed by practical training sessions. The project-work aspect enables the participants to test their technical and management skills while experiencing industrial processes in the field, directly inside the company. This program is specifically intended for the training of automation engineers, experts in the design and implementation of industrial automation solutions intended for companies working in this sector.
The technical and management skills that will be covered during the Master's in Industrial Automation Management include the identification of needs and opportunities connected to productive processes; realization of operative and strategic evaluation activities for the designing of new production systems; active contribution to the development of industrial automation solutions through the adoption of efficient production systems, cost analysis and techniques of financial planning; comprehension of the features of the different production systems and of the human-machine interaction; analysis of the statistical data necessary to determine the decisional criteria that will be used to establish the quality and reliability goals needed to obtain the finished product; the capability to manage industrial processes at any phase, from the definition of a new design to the implementation of a production system; and team leadership in the management of human resources.
