Adjustable Weir System for Collecting Tramp Oils
August 1, 2015
Zebra Skimmers offers its FZ17 System, which combines interchangeable flow restrictors, adjustable tramp oil weir and a collection chamber, along with a "T" Strainer filter designed for preventing larger types of debris from entering the system.
"We designed the FZ17 Coalescer System to be a cost-effective, expandable solution with customizable options to improve operational efficiencies," said Steve Davidian, Zebra Skimmers President. "As the industry shifts and manufacturers seek methods of improving coolant maintenance performance, our goal was to redefine point-of-use and develop a flexible solution that would meet these needs and allow for adjustable capabilities. The FZ17 System is ideal for removing tramp oils from machine coolant sumps while introducing oxygen back into the sump, slowing down the process of bacteria becoming established."
The FZ17 System is designed to be simple and effective. "The user can walk up to the FZ17, place the intake device into a machine coolant sump, plug the unit in and wait for tramp oils to accumulate in the oil collection chamber," said a company spokesperson. "There are several different intake devices available as well as 110 V, 220 V or air pump action. The Zebra Skimmers system is flexible enough to service small machines, large boring mills and everything in between."
