Toolholder System Provides TIR of < 3 microns

Bilz Tool Co. USA's newest Diebold product, CentroGrip, is engineered to combine best cutting tool run-out (TIR) with enhanced flexibility, according to the company. It is designed for small to medium volume metalworking manufacturing operations in industries such as medical, aerospace and die/mold.
The CentroGrip System provides a concentricity tolerance of < 1 micron while providing damping of most cutting tool harmonics. The assembled system - toolholder, collet and cutting tool - provides a maximum TIR of < 3 microns. These holders are all balanced with G2.5 accuracy and are available in CAT, BT, and HSK tool tapers.
