Arthur Machinery-Florida Represents Kitamura Machinery of U.S.A.

Arthur Sales &aamp; Service Team with Koji Ishiura from Kitamura

Arthur Machinery-Florida has been awarded the Kitamura Machinery line of Japanese machine tools. Bob Arthur stated that Kitamura machining centers will be the flagship line of Arthur Machinery-Florida. Arthur Machinery-Florida will install new orders and provide warranty and out-of-warranty service for new and existing Kitamura machines in the Florida and Puerto Rico markets.

"Founded in 1933 in Japan, Kitamura's concentration in the machining center business, as well as its commitment to research and development, has led to over 200 patents and patents pending in machining center design," said a company spokesperson. "The company motto 'Limitless Creativity' is demonstrated with consistent product development providing the most technologically advanced and reliable machining centers on the market today."

Dr. Akihiro "Aki" Kitamura represents the third generation of his family to serve as President of Kitamura Machinery Co., Ltd. He served within the U.S. market as President of Kitamura Machinery U.S.A. in 1986-1996. Transferred overseas to Kitamura Japan (headquarters), he was named President of Kitamura Japan in 2003. Dr. Kitamura was awarded both a Bachelors and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nihon University in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. With a dissertation on the development of a 9-spindle, multi-axis die/mold processing machine, Dr. Akihiro Kitamura received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Engineering from Osaka University in March 2008. He is currently serving part-time as an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kanazawa University.

Kitamura's products include vertical and horizontal machining centers, double column CNC machines, 5-axis machines and CNC jig borers. "Kitamura has most recently introduced very competitive models with typical Kitamura quality, outstanding accuracies, patented twin ball screw design, dual feedback technology and fast rapid traverse rates with box way construction," said the spokesperson. The Kitamura jig boring models offers accuracies of +/-0.000039" full stroke and repeatability of +/-0.00002".

"Kitamura hand scrapes all mounted surfaces requiring assembly in order to provide the full surface contact and proper alignment that exceeds the fit and finish of mounting surfaces when machined," said the spokesperson. "This labor intensive process ensures accuracy, long-term reliability and peak performance. True geometric accuracy from Kitamura guarantees squareness, parallelism and perpendicularity by way of its hands-on craftsmanship and attention to detail."
