Tongtai Machine & Tool Group Acquires Majority Stake in Anger Machining GmbH

To strengthen its presence in automotive machining markets, the Tongtai Machine & Tool Group has acquired a 76 percent stake in the holding company of Austrian transfer center machine builder Anger Machining GmbH. Tongtai is an OEM partner of Absolute Machine Tools, Inc.
Anger Machining, headquartered in Austria with subsidiaries in Germany, Japan and Ann Arbor, MI, custom designs, builds and programs high-performance transfer centers to meet customer's specific partmaking needs. The machines are engineered to provide short cycle times and maximize output in mass production environments. The transfer centers' design permits multiple tools to work on a part simultaneously. Available automation technology including gantry loaders, robots and conveyors is fully integrated through FANUC, Siemens and HMI CNC systems using Autorace software.
