Starrett Offers a Variety of Indicators

The L.S. Starrett Company offers a wide range of indicators, with resolutions from 0.001" to 0.00005" to suit a wide breadth of applications and user preferences. The range includes mechanical analog dial, lever style test, back plunger types, electronic digital displays and wireless digital indicators, in addition to its latest innovation-the Starrett Touchscreen Wireless No. W4900 Indicator.

Mechanical and digital indicators have the same accuracy dependent on the dial graduation and range of the tool. However, due to the gear-to-gear ratio on mechanical types, the tolerance can grow over a longer range. Digital indicators (with glass scales) can hold their accuracy over an entire longer range. Digital indicators also offer key benefits including digital readout, total indicator reading (TIR), measurement storing, tolerance values, back light for better visibility, presets, and importantly, data transmission for documentation and statistical process control (SPC).

The Starrett W4900 Wireless Digital Electronic Indicator features touchscreen technology, multiple resolutions and color settings, digital and analog readouts in the same indicator, wireless output and many other noteworthy and customizable features. With an IP67 protection rating and ISO and ANSI/ASME compliance, as well as rugged construction, the W4900 Indicator is suited for shop floor and quality lab use.

Starrett also offers an extensive range of accessories to configure and position the indicator, and upon request, provides custom-engineered solutions.
