Kitagawa NorthTech Appoints Engineering Supervisor

Dan Pinkawa

Kitagawa NorthTech, Inc. announced that Dan Pinkawa has been promoted to Engineering Supervisor.

Pinkawa joined Kitagawa NorthTech in 2013 and has held various engineering positions over the past eight years. In his new role as Engineering Supervisor, he will work in a manager-contributor role, as he will manage and lead the engineering team at the company, but will also still be involved designing, engineering and working on new engineered workholding projects.

Prior to his promotion, Pinkawa served as the Productivity Team's supervising applications engineer. The Productivity (P) Team is Kitagawa NorthTech's team of application engineers dedicated to the development of custom/engineered workholding solutions for turning and milling applications. While on the P Team, Pinkawa was primarily responsible for pre-sales engineering activities, including quoting new projects, developing conceptual design work and reviewing engineered workholding projects for feasibility.

As Engineering Supervisor, Pinkawa will be involved in a wide range of activities, including design for manufacturing, direct management of the engineering team, directing internal improvements, and streamlining processes and workflow to increase accuracy and productivity in the engineering group. He will also act as a liaison between sales and manufacturing to facilitate new engineered workholding projects.

Pinkawa said, "In addition to leading the engineering team and designing and manufacturing new custom workholding, I look forward to leveraging my pre- and post-sales engineering expertise to help our customers solve their unique workholding requirements."
