Mid Atlantic Machinery Announces Automation Company

Joshua Mayse

Mid Atlantic Machinery has announced the newest addition to its umbrella of companies, Mid Atlantic Machinery Automation (MAMA). What started as a division of the engineering group is now its own company, responsible for all automation the company implements. This includes its innovative Robotic Modular Fabricator Package, which enables Universal Robots collaborative robots to automate press brake operations, among other machinery.

Joshua Mayse, the former lead applications engineer for robotics, has been promoted to Vice President of MAMA and is also the co-founder. In this capacity, Mayse will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of robotic solutions. He will also drive innovation through new technologies and applications of the Robotic Modular Fabricator Package.

"Fabricators are facing unprecedented challenges to meet current customer demands. Labor shortages, supply chain issues and other obstacles are accelerating the need for automation in the industry," explains Mayse. "MAMA is here to help small to medium sized shops compete globally by being able to implement affordable, versatile automation solutions."

"In today's difficult labor market, Mid Atlantic Machinery Automation is committed to helping fabricators continue to grow and flourish with the use of robotics in metal fabricating processes like press brake bending, deburring, inspection and welding," said Kevin Kilgallen, Mid Atlantic Machinery President. "Our research and development will continue to evolve and enhance future short run applications."
