FOOKE Announces New Management and New Location

Marco Kotonski

FOOKE is a medium sized family-owned business located in Borken, Germany, with subsidiaries in Japan, Russia and the U.S. The company manufactures medium to large dynamic 5-axis milling machines, friction stir welding (FSW) machines along with hybrid machines (milling/waterjet cutting, milling/FSW, milling/laser cutting).

The U.S. subsidiary recently relocated to a larger facility in Shelby Township, MI. This new facility provides ample room to showcase a FOOKE machine for sales demonstrations and customer training. Matthias Hofmann, who established the U.S. operations in 2012, is stepping down and will be replaced by Marco Kotonski, who has been named President/CEO.

Kotonski joined FOOKE U.S.A. in 2018 as the service manager. His 20+ years of experience in field service, service management and machine tool sales enable him to address customers' needs and expectations. He recently restructured operations at FOOKE U.S.A. and has quickly developed relationships with customers and suppliers to better expand FOOKE U.S.A.'s presence in the North American market.

Kotonski said, "I am excited to take on the new role of directing our team with focus on customer service and strengthening relations with existing and new customers and vendors."

FOOKE's high performance ENDURA machines are suited for industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense and rail. For companies in the market for a modern linear motor milling gantry style machine or FSW application, FOOKE can create a simulation of their machining and milling processes.
