Heatcon Partners with Hexcel Corporation

Heatcon Composite Systems has announced an expanded relationship with Hexcel Corporation, a provider of advanced composites technology. The companies entered into a North American distribution partnership granting Heatcon the ability to sell Hexcel carbon fiber prepreg fabrics and tapes to support the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and advanced air mobility vehicles (AAM) industry.

Heatcon supplies materials such as fiberglass, carbon, peel ply and bagging film to aerospace companies and military providers. Composites are used heavily in the manufacturing and repair of newer commercial aircrafts, helicopter rotor blades and wind turbine blades.

The Hexcel partnership focuses on a variety of carbon fiber prepreg products used during the manufacturing and repair process of UAVs and AAMs. Such a strategic alliance with Heatcon will allow Hexcel to increase its overall presence in the commercial aerospace and space and defense markets.

"The UAV and AAM industry is expanding rapidly and Heatcon is excited to be a part of this growth," said Eric Casterline of Heatcon Composite Systems. "Our capabilities allow us to support the industry with readily available inventory in both small and large quantities."
