Allis Roller Joins Exclusive World Class Manufacturing Program
December 1, 2018
Local machined parts manufacturer, Allis Roller, is embarking on the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) integrative system for business and operational optimization, an exclusive and respected program for lean manufacturing. "With multinational customers like John Deere and CNH, adopting WCM strategies is part of Allis Roller's larger goal of striving for continuous improvement and a leaner, more efficient manufacturing model," said a company spokesperson.
Recent hire, John Gil, brings extensive experience in manufacturing quality control and operational improvement and is spearheading the WCM push at Allis Roller. Gil currently has a Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma, and is working towards his Black Belt Certification. He said, "We are excited for the opportunity to make our operation smarter, faster and more cost effective over time. WCM is a unique and selective program, and we know it will help us improve on the already solid foundation we have already built here at Allis Roller."
The WCM strategy for continuous improvement incorporates several pillars, each implicating every component of an operation, from workplace safety and employee morale to waste reduction and systems optimization. Allis Roller will be specifically working towards the pillars of Preventative Maintenance / Workplace Organization, Safety, Cost-deployment and Continuous Improvement over the next several years, priming its operation for sustainable growth and raising the profile of Wisconsin Manufacturing.
