Press Feeding Line

COE Press Equipment recently demonstrated a coil line feeding an Aida 300-ton servo press, which stamped parts from 0.177" (4.5 mm) thick material. The line is designed for processing stainless steels up to 50,000 PSI and a roll speed of 580 FPM.
The press feeding line is comprised of a COE ServoMaster Series 2, 24" wide roll feed; a Series 250, 2.5" x 24" power straightener; and a 15,000 lb. x 24" coil reel including a hydraulic coil car with remote jog pendant. The ServoMaster Touch controller features a user-friendly 5.7" VGA color touchscreen interface with customized operator screens featuring easy entry of machine set-up information. There are centralized controls for the straightener and reel.
For handling surface sensitive materials, the equipment features a #5 satin chrome finish on the upper and lower feed rolls as well as upper and lower entrance pinch rolls, and non-marking chrome straightener rolls. For enhanced safety, the coil reel has an extra set of heavy duty coil keepers and an air-operated coil hold down arm.
