Additive Technologies for Full-Scale Production

Sodick, Inc. will demonstrate its latest technologies at the RAPID tradeshow for 3-D printing, hosted by SME and TCT.

Sodick will unveil its newest additive technologies for full-scale production. Also on display will be Sodick's VL400Q wire EDM, designed for separating base plates and supports from 3-D printed parts. While maintaining a small footprint, the Sodick VL400Q is capable of accommodating most workpieces produced on an additive machine.

Moreover, with Sodick's proprietary Intelligent Q3vic software, the same 3-D CAD files used for additive manufacturing can be used to program the VL400Q for support removal. "This solution makes Sodick wire EDMs the ideal companion to any brand of metal 3-D printer," said a company spokesperson.

RAPID 2017 will take place May 8-11, 2017, in Pittsburgh, PA, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
