FEMCO to Import New Vertical Machining Centers

FEMCO Box Way VMC MCV-1100
FEMCO has announced that it is now importing to the U.S. a new line of CNC vertical machining centers (VMCs) built by FIRST Machinery Company, named FEMCO - FIRST. The VMCs will include box way type, linear way type and bridge mills.
The FEMCO - FIRST MCV-1100 VMC is designed with box ways for heavy-duty cutting. The XYZ travels are 43.3" x 23.6" x 22.0". The 10,000 RPM spindle is direct drive. The spindle motor is 15/20 HP with a CT-40 spindle taper. The automatic tool changer has 24 stations. The machine is run by a FANUC control.
The linear ways VMC V-43 has XYZ travels of 43.3" x 23.6" x 20.1". Linear ways produce faster XYZ rapid traverse of 1,260/1,260/1,260 IPM. The direct drive spindle is 10,000 RPM with a CT-40 taper.
FEMCO - FIRST smaller VMCs are the MCV-300 box way machine and the V-700 linear way machine.
The MCV-1600 is a larger machine with XYZ travels of 62.99" x 29.92" x 26.77". The spindle motor is 30/35 HP with spindle taper of CT-50.
The V-2000 Bridge Mill comes with optional belt head or geared head. The base is a Meehanite casting with precision ground box way construction. The XYZ travels are 80.7" x 45.27" x 27.55". The spindle motor on the machine with the belt head is 20/25 HP with CT-40 taper and the geared head machine features a 30/35 HP, CT-50 spindle taper.
