David Valentine, National Sales Manager, CNC Systems, Inc., importer of Honor Seiki machine tools, demonstrated to attendees the Honor Seiki VL160CMSL Double Column Turning Center at IMTS 2016.

The Honor Seiki VL160CMSL Double Column Turning Center is designed to be heavy-duty with all box ways. The automatic tool changer is a 16 station bi-directional magazine. The tooling system is Honor Seiki's solid lock system.

The machine has a full C-axis on the main spindle. The live tool spindle is a 20 HP, 2-speed gear box, 2,250 RPM spindle. The main spindle is 2-speed 60 HP, 3-250 RPM.

Travels on the machine are: X = -7.87" left / 45.3" right of center, Z = 35.4". Maximum swing is 78.77"; maximum turning diameter is 78.77"; and maximum turning height is 46.1". The 4-jaw manual chuck is 63".

The VL160CMSL is equipped with a spindle chiller, chip conveyor and the FANUC Oi-TF multi axis control.
