The BC40E TRU TEMP system is pre-engineered to set up quickly and operate safely. It utilizes seven individual tanks, each measuring 16" x 24" x 24" deep (I.D.) and occupies a footprint of 3` x 13'. The tanks are built to be virtually unbreakable, manufactured of heavy weight, high-density polypropylene and polyethylene.
Easy to learn and safe to operate, these lines produce high quality black oxide finishes and can often be operated by workers in adjoining CNC, screw machine or parts washer cells, without adding new employees.
Using the patented Birchwood Technologies TRU TEMP black oxide process, the BC40E tank line provides the owner with all of the advantages of an in-house system - a high quality, Mil-Spec compliant, black oxide finishing capability with a 25-minute cycle time. "It provides control of quality, scheduling and cost of finishing operations that is not available with outside black oxide services," said the spokesperson.
The TRU TEMP process contains no EPA regulated chemicals, so there is no need for waste treatment. The rinse waters are generally sewerable as non-hazardous discharge.
