Centrifuge Filter Systems for Recovery of Materials
November 1, 2016
With a renewed desire in the industry to recover carbide and other high value materials removed from the process, Eriez reports the demand for HydroFlow Centrifuge Filter Systems is increasing. "These powerful and environmentally friendly systems provide 5-10 micron filtration, enable quick cleaning and provide a more cost-effective alternative to other technologies," said a company spokesperson.
The HydroFlow standard centrifuge product line consists of many combinations of centrifuge models, tank sizes and pump pressures. These systems are often combined with high capacity cartridge filters to polish the fluid and remove fines below the limit of the centrifuge alone. Custom designed systems are also available to satisfy the most unique filtration requirements.
For clean and speedy disposal of the sludge cake extracted from the coolant, the centrifuge is fitted with a long-life flexible rotor liner, which collects solids up to a capacity of approximately 250 cubic inches. This allows a sludge cake of up to 20-50 lbs. to build up, depending on the solids density.
The procedure for emptying the liner takes only a few minutes and can be shortened even further by using spare rotor liners. The required frequency for emptying the liner depends largely on the stock removal rate.
Used most commonly for all types of carbide grinding, HydroFlow Centrifuge Filter Systems are also an ideal choice for tool and cutter grinding, glass and ceramic grinding, honing and microfinishing oil, vibratory finishing and wire drawing.
