FEMCO Inc. offers a CNC horizontal boring mill, model BMC-110R2, for manufacturing large parts for a variety of industries.
The BMC-110R2 features stress relieved Meehanite castings for all major components and utilizes induction hardened box ways on all three axes (XYZ). The headstock, column, base and cross slides are all lined with Turcite to provide enhanced wear and slip stick characteristics.
The BMC-110R2 is equipped with a 60-station automatic tool changer and can be equipped with an optional 90-station tool magazine. The BMC-110R2 has a large 56.69" x 62.99" worktable with a table load capacity of 13,889 lbs. The machine comes standard with a 35 HP, 50 taper spindle motor. A two speed geared head is standard, allowing for maximum metal removal during heavy machining operations. The axis travels are 78.74" x 70.87" x 66.93" (XYZ). The spindle diameter is 4.33" and its stroke (W-axis) is 19.69".
Precision glass scales are installed on all three axes to help provide accuracy and repeatability. An external chain type chip conveyor system is designed to provide fast and efficient chip removal. The BMC-110R2 comes standard with the FANUC 32i MB CNC control and FANUC servo drive system.
Optional accessories include a through spindle coolant system and a full B-axis rotary table with contouring capabilities.
