ZPS America offers the ZPS 8/42 CNC multi-spindle lathe. The eight-spindle machine, designed to turn complicated parts, includes features such as 16 + 1 independent tool carriers, bar sizes up to 52 mm and quick changeover flexibility.
"The ZPS machines are designed for precision, safety and long, reliable operation," said a company spokesperson. "The ZPS 8/42 CNC is designed to provide high accuracy during bulk and serial production with characteristics such as eight independent AC spindle drive units with 0-6,000 RPM and up to 72 CNC controlled axis for special equipment control."
The ZPS 8/42 CNC can handle a 2" bar diameter or a 10" chucker part. Through ZPS America's patented drive concept, each spindle puts out 11 kW of power while remaining thermally stable. The 8/42 CNC is also capable of working as a double four-spindle machine, manufacturing two different simple parts at once.
