Kingston's SPX model large bore heavy-duty slant bed lathe features a 9.25" bore, 35.4" swing and 45° slant and is available in lengths from 60" to 160".
The one piece bed and box way castings are heavily ribbed and made of fine grain wear resistant Meehanite that is heat treated, annealed twice and ground to attain the stability and hardness of HRC53. Each sliding surface is coated with Turcite-B for enhanced performance.
The SPX is equipped with a 12 position bi-directional servo turret with a two piece large diameter Hirth-type coupling to help provide both strong clamping force and high loading capacity with precise positioning. The bi-directional turret has a 0.3 second indexing time. Both the tailstock body and MT#6 quill are fully programmable.
Standard features include 50 HP (continous)/60 HP (30 min.) spindle motor, FANUC 0iTD with Manual Guide I and threading repair and 10.4" LCD monitor. Options include C-axis and live tooling turret.
