Arthur to Introduce Universal Robots at NTMA Meeting
January 1, 2014
Robert Arthur Machinery, LLC of Tampa, Florida, will be hosting the West Coast Florida NTMA meeting January 9, 2014, at its office/showroom from 6 PM to 9 PM. Industrial robots from Universal Robots will be shown, followed by a brief presentation. CNC and manual machines will be on display and dinner will be served.
"Universal Robots has reinvented the industrial robot," said a company spokesperson. "These modern and flexible industrial robots open up new, affordable ways in the utilization of machine tools. They feature a compact design and have the unique ability to be used without expensive safety guarding. The robots are lightweight and can be easily moved around within the customer's facility.
"Programming is simple and is done intuitively. Simply grab the robot arm and show it the desired movement. Operators can be trained in five to 10 minutes. The UR can be used to open/close machine doors, eliminating the need for an auto door. Arthur will offer these robots for a variety of customer applications."
Pre-registration is required. NTMA welcomes non-members to attend the event.
