Nidec Machine Tool Corporation offers its ST series NC gear shaping machine.
The NC gear shaping machine requires no helical guide as a result of Nidec's novel programmable lead guide mechanism and high-speed response control technology. Setting a given helix angle in the NC program allows flexible production of helical gears. Helical guide change is no longer necessary.
The ST series features programmable spindle positioning. For small machines, the spindle extension can be adjusted to accommodate variable tool lengths. For medium machines, an elevating cutter head is used to accommodate a wide range of workpieces.
Newly developed NC control technology and advanced software enhance the efficiency of various gear machining applications. Cutting conditions are automatically set after inputting gear and tool specification data. Cutting conditions are easily changed by inputting revised specification data on the interactive menu display.
