Novarc Appoints CTO

Novarc Technologies Inc., a full-stack robotics company specializing in the design and commercialization of collaborative robots (cobots) and AI systems for robotic welding applications, announced that Sina Firouz has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Firouz has more than 15 years of experience working in technical leadership roles at various companies, including Google, Meta (formerly Facebook), Amazon and Uber. He earned a doctorate degree from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree from Sharif University, both in electrical engineering.

"I am thrilled to be part of the talented team at Novarc, and look forward to collaborating to leading Novarc's technology and innovation endeavours, using my expertise in building software products in applied machine learning and platform for large tech companies in Silicon Valley over the past 15 years," said Firouz.

Reza Abdollahi, co-founder of Novarc and the original inventor of Novarc's Spool Welding Robot (SWR), will transition to the role of emeritus CTO of Novarc.
