Bourn & Koch Promotes Business Unit Manager, Hires National Sales Manager

Bourn & Koch, Inc. has announced Joe Goral Sr. as Business Unit Manager-Grinding Machine Tools and Rob Swiss as National Sales Manager for Gear Manufacturing Machinery.

Goral's first position with the company in 2013 was inside sales for the Bullard and King machine tool lines. He then served as technical support engineer for Bourn & Koch machine tools, and most recently as product manager.

In his new role, Goral will be tasked with developing and growing the Springfield vertical grinder and Blanchard rotary grinder product lines. He will work with the sales and engineering teams to align the products with customer requirements and opportunities. He will also work with his teams to develop custom-engineered grinding machine tool solutions to meet application-specific manufacturing challenges.

Goral has a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology.

Swiss will be responsible for the sales and support of all gear manufacturing equipment for Bourn & Koch. This includes the new gear machinery lines of Bourn & Koch brand horizontal gear hobbers; Bourn & Koch and Fellows gear shaper brands; and all in-stock and custom remanufactured gear manufacturing machinery. Swiss will also assist with the design and development of new gear manufacturing machinery for Bourn & Koch.

Swiss brings 20 years of experience in the gear industry, with his most recent post at Gleason Corporation where he served as regional sales manager and engineering supervisor. Swiss was educated in England where he completed a four-year apprenticeship and gained a higher national certificate in mechanical engineering.
